I “stalked” 3 kimono-clad women in Kamakura and managed to take pictures with them. Totally thrilled to find kinomo-clad women outside Kyoto.
What I liked about Japan was how you’d occasionally see kimono wearing ladies, presumably on their way to a ceremony or important event, but they would walk along as normal. It took some time to get used to.
